Stick to hockey Mats Sundin...or come sit at our poker table during the 2009 World Series of Poker.

Following a game played in Vancouver, the Canucks NHL star appeared in an interview and the question turned to one of poker.  It seems Sundin is also a celebrity endorser for PokerStars.net but not entirely knowledgeable about the game itself.

"The entire nation of Canada then probably saw Mats Sundin on Hockey Night in Canada After Hours not able to answer a basic poker question from special call-in guest, Daniel Negreanu," Wicked Chops Poker reported on Monday.

The 37-year-old Olympic champion plans frequent appearances playing on PokerStars.net and at live tournaments on the PokerStars' global poker tour circuit. This included the PokerStars European Poker Tour last fall.

Sundin is the longest serving, non-North American captain in NHL history.

Sundin said in an interview at the time the endorsement deal was announced: , "I have always enjoyed playing poker, and partnering with PokerStars gives me the opportunity to challenge myself and explore the full potential of my game. Learning from and playing against some of the best poker players in the world won't be easy, but I believe the fighting spirit I've developed as a hockey pro will really help me at the tables."

Just don't do any more interviews about poker after hockey games, Mats!

Watch the video interview here - go to around 2.30 minutes into it.
