Manchester United top Premier League scorer betting odds had Robin van Persie as a 1-2 favorite across the board.
The Holland international scored more league goals in his first campaign at United than any other player has previously posted in the club's history.
Man Utd. manager David Moyes had this to say about his star player last month:
"What we’re doing is trying to get him in a condition to do exactly what he has done last year, which is score goals for Manchester United and be a really big influence in the team’s performances, so we’re hoping to get more of that this season.
"I got to see him this week for the first time. His touch, his control, his awareness, just in the small games we’ve played, and bits of the finishing he has done this week.
"I’ve really been impressed with his professionalism as well, how he’s gone about his work. He’s never complained about a thing
Wayne Rooney, who may not be sticking around at Man Utd, was listed at 6/1 odds to have the most number of goals scored in 2013-2014 at BetVictor.com.
Javier Hernandez had odds of 14/1 at BetVictor.com but was listed at 9/1 at most books.
Danny Welbeck was coming in between 8/1 and 14/1.
