UFC 93 Betting: Place your bets early
Sportsbook.com bettors will want to get their bets in for early for UFC 93 as the event in Dublin, Ireland is being broadcast on a delay. UFC 93 betting was available until fight time at Sportsbook.com
Those looking to get some action on the Main Event between Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin, or any of the bouts, must place their bets early on Saturday.
In a battle between former champs now fighting in the Light Heavyweight Division, Henderson is a slight favorite for the Main Event at -125 while Franklin is listed at -105.
A former UFC middleweight champion, Franklin has a 24-3 record (11-2 UFC) and is considered an excellent all-around fighter. He returned to the light heavyweight division last September with a TKO win over Matt Hamill. Franklin's last two losses both came against Anderson Silva.
Henderson has a 23-7 mark (3-2 UFC) and held PRIDE titles in both the Welterweight and Middleweight classes. He has lost two out of his last three fights to Quinton Jackson and Anderson Silva.
Henderson is the favorite as he is the more accomplished fighter at the light heavyweight division, but this is expected to be a very close fight and a lot of the experts are picking a small upset for Franklin.
And if there wasn't enough incentive to be victorious, the winner will coach the United States team on the next season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter' reality show. The coach of the United Kingdom side will be Michael Bisping.
Also on Saturday is a much anticipated rematch between light heavyweights Mauricio ‘Shogun' Rua (-365) and Mark Coleman (+285).
Coleman is a UFC Hall of Famer and "The Hammer' has a 15-8 MMA record (6-3 UFC). He hasn't fought for 27 months and will be moving down a weight class from the heavyweight division.
Rua (16-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) is the 2005 Pride Grand Prix champion. These two warriors met in 2006 at PRIDE 31 and Coleman got the upset after Rua broke his arm in the first round.
Rua has also taken some time off due to a knee injury, last fighting in September, 2007 in a loss to Forrest Griffin.
However, Coleman is 44 years-old and that's a big disadvantage over a 27 year-old in his prime, which is why Coleman is the solid underdog.
