College football will be in a frenzy when these two teams meet. Ole Miss and Alabama are no strangers to big ticket matches, and here we go, another great one is bound to occur here. With the top team in the top ranked team in the nation going into any game, there is bound to be speculation as to what they are going to do, and of course, they will most likely be favored.

Free Prediction Given by SportsCashSystem.com lead handicapper, Mike Taylor

Current line: Alabama -14 ½/ Over & Under at 55 ½

Time:  Saturday, September 28, 6:30 pm (EST) ESPN, Watchespn.com

Let’s first look at Alabama and their constant pounding of the football. The managed to take out Johnny Football, but not in an impressive fashion, and then completely dominated Colorado State, even if the game wasn’t a showcase of pure athleticism. They will need everything they got if they are going to be able to take out Ole Miss in this one. Mississippi is averaging a great deal of points and over 200 yards rushing each and every game. That means that they are not going to be easily run over, despite the favored Tide planning on running rough shot.

Ole Miss is not a team that is going to be perfect all the time, however, there may be some magic left, and it’s that small glimmer of hope that is causing us to think twice before ruling on this one. The team did manage a nice opening last year, where they held The Tide down 7 – 6 through the second quarter, but would later lose it in a monster run by the Tide. Could that happen again?

The Match Up:

For those that are big fans, you may remember when Eli Manning was able to gain the upper hand against Alabama, but that was long ago, and not exactly going to be the case here. These two teams are not evenly matched, there are cases for both sides, but overall, this one is going to have to go with the favorite. Mississippi has a tendency of getting flustered in the long game, so they may not be able to hang in there this time. Some are saying this will be a high scoring, back and forth game, but we’re going to go with a little more defensive routing, and say it won’t get too high. With that in mind however, look for Alabama to win – 14 ½.

The Edge:

Alabama -14 ½

SportsCashSystem.com Prediction: Alabama -14 ½
