This week’s match ups for the NCAA football regular season are going to really attract some attention, and this game is no different. The game will feature Virginia taking on Pittsburgh in an ACC battle for the ages. The key here is whether or not the Cavaliers will be able to take on the seasoned Virginia team and overcome them with sheer will.

Current line: Pittsburgh - 6 / Over & Under at 51 ½

Time:  Saturday, September 28, 12:30 pm (EST) ESPN3

One must find that having only 8 seniors going into battle against the Panthers is a giveaway of sorts, but some may find that as a good thing, with youthful energy in place of experience, which could prove too much for the Cavaliers. Pittsburgh didn’t look so hot in their opener against Florida State, but have been able to knock down Duke and New Mexico in recent weeks so perhaps their offensive weapons are going to be on fire this time around. The Panthers haven’t been on such a momentum shift since 2010 and will definitely be an interesting thing to watch here. Watch for James Conner and 12 other true freshmen going in here with some high hopes of getting the win.

Pittsburgh is one team to watch though, they will have something to offer a youthful team in the experience of their quarterback Tom Savage. With his passing and running yards aiming at a high note in his tenure on the team, look for another stand out performance.

The Match Up:

It’s hard to say which team has an edge here, but if one were to truly look at this without the hype, you’ll have to give it to the experienced quarterback at Pittsburgh. Even with that, the score should be even handed if the Virginia team can get going on their side of the ball. Even with being so fresh out on the field, it will be a hard fought battle for the team, so we won’t necessarily give this one blow out status, as it’s going to be a drag out college football fight. With that in mind, we’re going to give it to Pittsburgh – 6 this week.

The Edge:

Pittsburgh – 6

SportsCashSystem.com Prediction: Pittsburgh – 6
