This Sunday, one of the more interesting match ups will be between two teams that should have everything going well for them, but will have to contend with some serious issues. The Pittsburgh Steelers will try and upend the Minnesota Vikings and it is not going to be pretty. Even with an interesting international presence, this will not be as easy to win as some may think.

Current line: Minnesota Vikings +1 ½ / Over & Under at 42

Time:  Sunday, September 29, 1:00 pm (EST) CBS, NFL Red Zone

There are some distinct advantages going to the Steelers at first glance. They do have a nice rush defense that may not necessarily gain a lot of points for the winning column, but definitely hits hard and enough to disrupt the Minnesota Vikings. Even if they have one of the best running backs in the game, this a team effort and will need everyone working as a cohesive unit to get going forward. The Steelers have a hefty 3-4 defense that is one to definitely watch out for in this game.

The Vikings on the other hand have a lot of weapons on the ball that could very well make them a favorite in some circles. Minnesota has showing a great deal of toughness in their losses and can still play very well, if they focus on the important task at hand. Some may not be so quick to admit that this will happen as they haven’t been able to muster up convincing anyone of their prowess.

The Match Up:

On paper, this could go either way. You’ll have to contend with a number of issues, on both teams. Ben Roethlisberger is going to have to play like he used to, and the Vikings are going to have to hit him hard and distract him. He’s tough to get down, but hit him hard and even he will get flustered, which is why the Minnesota defense can’t let up here. With all the things in place, and the international appeal, we’re going to have to give the Vikings the nod on this one at +1 ½.

The Edge:

Minnesota Vikings +1 ½

SportsCashSystem.com Prediction: Minnesota Vikings +1 ½
