The New Orleans Saints have been playing some interesting football as of late, and they continue to throw up wins, but this week, they will have a serious threat to their momentum as they will face the Chicago Bears in week 5 NFL action.

The Chicago Bears are not without some serious power. They are ranked 3 overall in offense, and they have a good defense that could in fact stun the Saints in this game. If the Chicago defenders can get to Drew Brees, look for the New Orleans squad to have a long day on the field. This may seem to favor the Bears at first, but that’s not to say that the Saints are just going to roll over and die. The New Orleans team has a great amount of weapons on both sides of the field to substantiate claims that they could go all the way again this year.
The Saints are doing well, and their last outing against a very solid Miami proved that they were definitely a good pick. They not only won big time, they also covered the spread, so maybe this is something to consider in the matchup. The Chicago team has an ok rush, but it’s their unpredictable nature that is getting them pushed forward. Look for them to go by air and by rushing through the Saints lines. The New Orleans team will have to work extra hard to contain Cutler in this game, as he has enough precision to dissect the secondary.
The Match Up:
The game is interesting on paper, and analysts are torn on this one. The computers are saying a dead even match up, but that’s not the case. If you look at the Saints, they are ranked somewhat lower on defense compared to the Bears. The Bears can offset that with their rushing offense which is ranked 19, so perhaps the even nature is somewhat credible going into this game. Even though the edge is going to be a rough one to pick, and many are saying this game is even, we’re going to give it to the Chicago Bears – 1.
