This game should prove to be a good one for fans of both teams. The Philadelphia Eagles will take on the New York Giants this week, and it should be a fight, one that both teams will want to win. There is a lot of upside on either side of the football, and it’s hard to determine just which one has an edge. A closer look is definitely worth while here.

Current line: Philadelphia Eagles +2 ½ / Over & Under at 42 ½

Time:  Sunday, October 6, 1:00 pm (EST) FOX, NFL Red Zone

When you start to dissect this game, you will see that the Eagles aren’t doing great, despite some nice silver linings here and there. The team has lost 3 straight so far, but they look to take on a team that has lost 4 straight, so perhaps it’s their day in the sun this week. The two teams will square off in a match up that no one wants to lose, but someone must. The Giants are not doing so hot, and Eli Manning is at the helm, doing terribly. He’s having trouble, and perhaps he will once again have trouble against an Eagles defense that is looking to rattle his cage.

The Eagles have a great offensive component in Michael Vick, and this time he’s going to be moving forward quite well with a weak Giants defense that will not be able to contain his progress. This is a bold statement, however, as the team didn’t exactly play an amazing set of four quarters last week, and it was definitely bad overall. The yards gained are ok, but they are going to have to do much more against the Giants than they did against the Broncos.

The Match Up:

The Giants are awful, the Eagles aren’t necessarily great, but they are good enough to take this challenge on. Look for DeSean Jackson, Riley Cooper, Jason Avant, and of course Michael Vick to make major moves in this one. New York may have a shot, but they will have to play perfectly, and that is not going to happen. Eli Manning will have to look more like his brother this week, and even then, the Eagles have a higher upside. The Giants just have too many problems right now, and they just won’t be able to sew them up in time for the game. Look for the Eagles at +2 1/2 and edge out a terrible Giants team.

The Edge:

Philadelphia Eagles +2 ½

SportsCashSystem.com Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles +2 ½
