There’s always a bit of intrigue when an undefeated team plays against a surging team. Both the Raiders and the Chiefs have an upside to consider here, but neither one is going to get a huge edge at first glance.

When you look at both of the teams, you don’t see perfection, with the exception of the Kansas City team that has won every game that they’ve played. Alex Smith has done something that many analysts didn’t think would happen, and it seems to be the norm for quarterbacks that are given another shot at the glory. The former San Francisco quarterback has done quite well for himself in this endeavor, and as the leader and quarterback for the Chiefs, he remains solid on the ball overall.
Meanwhile, Terrelle Pryor is doing anything that he can to solidify his legacy with the Oakland Raiders. Even though they haven’t been perfect this season, they have so much upside that this game can in fact get interesting. With the win they had over the Chargers, the Chiefs will have to watch out for silly mistakes, turnovers and more. The Raiders proved against San Diego that they can definitely get rough and win big. Looking at the numbers from last week, and you’ll see that Pryor and Smith both have solid takes on the game, but its Alex Smith that has major upside. However, if you look at the red zone numbers, you’ll see that the Chiefs are ready to get stunned and the Oakland Raiders may be the team to do it.
The Match Up
If the Kansas City offense does a better job within the red zone, they could take this game and open it up to all new levels. However, that is not going to be an easy task. The Raiders have a decent defensive strategy, and are looking to capitalize on any little mistake that could be made on the football. Just like they made the Chargers pay last week, the Chiefs are going to pay if they put their guard down. Even with a streak this far into the season, expect for an upset, and watch the Raiders finally do something grand.
