The Houston Texans are doing everything they can this week to figure out how to stop the decline they are in. Unfortunately they are on one of those miserable experiences where they are facing a losing streak. That’s rough, especially since they have such a heavy upside to consider, and were able to contain the Seahawks, even though they lost it towards the end.

The St. Louis rams are a team with a lot of energy, and some major momentum going into this game. They were able to gain the upper hand against the Jacksonville Jaguars this last week and are looking to ride the wave against Houston and once again solidify their chance at a playoff birth. The Rams will be heading to Houston, though, and that doesn’t always bode well. The raucous home crowd will definitely be there to cheer on their team.
The Houston team looked abysmal against the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday, and will want to do everything right this time around. They didn’t exactly put on a show, and this game is going to need them to be far better. The beginning of the season had pegged Houston as one team to break out this year, and yet they aren’t doing so hot. Even with Matt Schaub, Arian Foster, and Andre Johnson doing what they can to make this team fly, they are confounded at every step.
The Match Up
The Rams are a team that is definitely one to get a win, if the Houston Texans play anything like they did last week. Some people are even talking about possibly benching the quarterback and getting someone else to lead the team. Look for the Rams to dominate early on, and will definitely hit hard in their overall pursuit of a win. They had an easy win with the Jaguars, which may give them a small sense of hope against Houston. If Matt Schaub doesn’t get protection from the offensive line, the Rams will roll through this game, on their way to bigger and better things. With that in mind, optimists will keep them as the winners, but then again, they have a way of blowing leads and putting their arms down in the fourth quarter. Look for the Texans to win at home, but not by much.
