What To Watch For From The Indianapolis Colts
Luck certainly looks like the next Manning in Indianapolis as the second-year player has 1,346 passing yards and seven interceptions through six games. Although his numbers aren’t as gaudy as Manning’s, Luck is showing signs of maturity and progress as a 24-year-old and the future seems bright for the former Stanford Cardinal. Trent Richardson has been effective but unspectacular since joining the Colts as the former first-round pick is averaging just 3.1 yards per carry, but is reliable in short yardage downs and is doing what the Colts ask of him. The run game won’t be asked to carry the Colts’ offense, but if Richardson could raise his yards per carry average it would drastically help a Colts team looking to become a consistent option.
What To Watch For From The Denver Broncos
Manning has cooled off as of late, but he is still putting up historic numbers and is in the middle of his best season yet as a professional quarterback. Manning is completing nearly 75% of his passes and already has over 2,000 passing yards this season. The Broncos’ offense scores an average of 44 points per game, which is tops in the league, and if they can keep up this pace their defense will have zero pressure to perform. The great news for the defense however is that star linebacker Von Miller has served his six game suspension and will be active against the Colts this weekend. The defense really needs to improve its play if the Broncos want to be seen as the best all-around team as the unit is currently giving up an average of 26 points per game, and over 400 yards of total offense as well. The Broncos have become one of the most fun teams to watch this season, and on Sunday night they will likely take it to the Colts in-order to preserve their undefeated record.
With Manning having 22 touchdowns to just two interceptions, the Broncos are the team to ride here but lay the $25 to win $10 on the money line where Denver only needs to win outright.
