While there are plenty of high-stakes poker games on tour at the moment, the Micro Turbo Online Poker Series is also back, and claims to be bigger than ever before.
The tournament kicked off on the 13th October 2013, the series is played throughout 15 days of jam-packed poker with over $1 million to play for.
Across the fortnight, Full Tilt Poker’s MTOPS is filled with 75 micro and low stakes games with a host of different variants available to play including the new Irish Turbo, Rush, alongside 5 and 6 card Omaha. This series is great for beginners and intermediate players, because it is fast paced and does not cost hundreds of dollars to be part of the action.
Already well underway, buy-ins have started at as little as $0.55 with unbelievable value to be had. During the last event in June, “jprr22” turned his $15 buy-in into almost $85,000 by winning the main event and the excellent pots have been already flooding in this month.
Only a few days into the event players have already been turning their cents into hundreds of dollars. The first event of the tournament say anja_1991 pick up a $659 pot from just a $1 buy-in in the “New to the Game” Deep Stack Turbo, which saw over three and a half thousand players get the tournament off with a bang.
Throughout the day players continued to pick up hundreds and thousands of dollars in prizes, with the option, like in the previous tournament, to enter events several times to try and take the jackpot.
Continuing throughout the week, Day 4 saw some winners’ dollars be multiplied by thousands. BOOZYONTILT took the highest pot of the day cashing in on a cool $8,000 in the 19th event of the series, the $3 NLH Rush Rebuy.
The Main Event on the 27 October offers a staggering $500,000 prize pot. However, the highlight of the tournament is arguably the Pro Bounty events which are scattered across the two weeks. With the chance to pit yourself against Full Tilt Poker Professionals, including World Series of Poker bracelet winning Gus Hansen and 23-year-old poker prodigy Viktor Blom, games start at $3 buy-ins, offering a $100 bounty prize for claiming a pro scalp. And with 6 re-entries allowed, there are plenty of chances to take out some of the world’s biggest names.
