The Pittsburgh Steelers have not been living up to their mean namesake, they have been floundering and are not going to get better overnight. Any hope of saving their season is going to be placed on their perfection and all teams getting dropped off the edge of the earth. The Bills aren’t a great team, but it doesn’t take a great team to beat up on the Steelers this season, as evidenced through a number of the games that they’ve been playing.

Mike Tomlin and his staff are going to have to do something drastic or the rumors of his firing are going to be something that will come to fruition. It’s not Ben Roethlisberger’s fault alone either, as he’s fighting to get moving forward, but he can’t if there is no one protecting him. The offensive line has allowed a lot of defenders through and have hit Big Ben a lot more. The Patriots were prime example of that, which is going to be interesting for the Bills. If the Bills could punch through and get fighting forward with a sense of purpose, you’ll find that there is definitely going to be a great opportunity to see the Steelers lose yet again, and Big Ben getting hit hard.
The Bills have a good defensive scheme, and it will be up to Mike Pettine and the Bills to mimic what worked well for the New England Patriots. If they abandon that notion and end up doing something different, then you’ll end up seeing a good defensive game, because the Steelers do have a few upsides overall.
The Match Up:
If Mario Williams again does what he has done in the past, look for a tough outing for the Steelers on their way to a loss. The Bills are a solid team on both sides of the football, and won’t necessarily need to play the heaviest game that they can to win this one, they just need to show up and be a little better, which isn’t hard. Even though some analysts are saying that the Steelers are going to win this one, we’re going with the Buffalo Bills +3 here.
