UIGEA: Live Free or Die

According to a report filed by Online Casino Advisory, the state of New Hampshire lottery has become the latest victim of the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act, legislation that was drafted to prevent some forms of online gambling, while allowing others forms including state lotteries. 

"This type of regulation only works in a perfect world," commented Payton O'Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.  "This is not a perfect world."

New Hampshire had already discovered that its online lottery credit card sales were being blocked by implementation of the UIGEA law against online gambling payment transactions. Now the state has found that even local stores are refusing to allow lottery sales on debit card transactions.

The real clincher is that funding to New Hampshire schools via the state lottery is now being blocked while online gambling websites have already found clever alternative means of getting around the UIGEA.  After all, they've had over two years to find such alternatives.

New Hampshire school fundings lose money as lottery sales are blocked, while any child who wishes to access online casinos can due to lack of regulation. Programs supposedly excepted from the online gambling transaction ban face being caught in the web, while unlicensed shady sites devise clever alternatives that escape UIGEA notice.
