Stephen Chidwick Leads Eureka Prague After Day 2

Stephen "stevie444" Chidwick is chip leader going in to Day 3 of the Eureka Prague Main Event with 43 players left.  He has 1,479,000 followed by fellow Brit Mark Dalimore (1,379k). Chidwick, who first came to fame in 2008 when he won 100 seats to the WSOP online on PokerStars, is in Prague partly to collect his trophy at the awards ceremony on Wednesday night being held for WCOOP champions. He won the 320 dollar WCOOP Pot Limit Badugi tournament for $16,321.

Other Eureka players who managed to bag a 7-figure chip count were Mario Puccini (1,147k), Billy Chattaway (1,055k), Milan Simko (1,040k) and Asat Levi (1,032k). Five Team PokerStars Pros played day 2 and all of them made the money - Marcin Horecki, Henrique Pinho, Alex Kravchenko and both Christophe and Matthias De Meulder. Two are still in; Marcin Horecki (853k) and Matthias De Meulder (486k). EPT Berlin champion Kevin MacPhee and online legend Chris Moorman also survived as well as two Czechs - Milan Simko and Jaroslav Peter.

There were 396 runners at the beginning of the day and when the field reduced to 192, we were on the bubble. It eventually burst with Jari Kiernan's elimination after the German ran pocket kings into pocket aces; all the remaining players were guaranteed a piece of €1,275,550 prize pool.

Tomorrow's action will lead the Main Event through to the final table which will be played on Thursday. The eventual champion will take home €226,400.
