Rosie O'Donnell, one of the most bet on celebrities of 2007, is planning to host her own NBC primetime variety show according to numerous reports. The program would air on Sunday nights.

Multiple sources confirm to me exclusively that Hasselbeck's former View nemesis, Rosie O'Donnell, is in active talks with NBC to return to television with her own weekly primetime variety show, according to Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly.

"Forget the N-word. If you really want to see Elisabeth Hasselbeck cry, try uttering the R-word - especially in this next context," Ausiello said, referring to a controversial "The View" segment where Hasselbeck argued with Whoopie Goldberg about usage of the word.

The possible NBC-O'Donnell hook-up is particularly ironic in light of the fact that less than a year ago the network's cable news arm, MSNBC, was close to giving the Koosh Ball-lovin' funny lady her own one-hour showcase. But when word of the discussions leaked out before the ink was dry, O'Donnell claimed the network "panicked" and the deal went south.

Last year, Rosie O'Donnell became one of the most bet on celebrities along with tragic pop tart Britney Spears.

Bodog Life (see website here) in particular offered betting odds on everything from where Rosie would land next to whether she and Donald Trump would step into a Mixed Martial Arts cage. Rosie was the favorite to win such a bout.

Ratings had never been higher when O'Donnell joined The View last year.
