Following the Denver Broncos bruising loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 48, boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has gone on record to state the obvious:  He never bet $10 million across seven Vegas sportsbooks on Denver to win the Super Bowl.

The story grew legs and Gambling911.com would ultimately dispute its legitimacy

Still, it took Mayweather himself to quiet the crowds, though some were inclined to keep believing.

The ever humble Mayweather posted an Instagram message via Twitter early Monday morning:

Congratulations Seattle Seahawks for winning the Super Bowl.  For the record, I did not bet $10 million on the Broncos.  As a matter of fact, I did not bet at all.  I can’t control whatever rumors are put out there.  Good or bad publicity keeps me relevant.  The only thing I would bet $10 million on is myself.  From the looks of my record, I am guaranteed.

for once in your life be a man take your loss. If you didn't make the bet why didn't you come out a week ago when it was making headlines and said something. What a sore looser. Typical punk. If you would of won you would of plaster you IG with the winning tickets and tell everyone how the money team wins. But since you lost you feel like an idiot betting and loosing 10% of your fortune. Keep on spending your money Floyd and you will end up like all other sport stars that showed off and walk around with 50 guys grabbing their balls. Keep burning money those $100 bills you burn, one day you will need them. By the to all Floyd's fans that think he has money he won't make the top 1000 rich Americans. I've met richer people and floyd doesn't have one ounce of humbleness these people carry.
