While billionaire casino magnate and mega GOP donor Sheldon Adelson has gone on the attack against legalizing Web gambling in the US, he may want to focus on keeping his own casino sites up and running.

Tuesday afternoon, all of his properties corporate websites were returning an error message.  This comes on the heels of Adelson releasing a new advertisement opposing real money gambling in the States.

Sands would not return Business Week’s calls when inquiries were made regarding the error messages.

Adelson has been lobbying in Washington to stop real money Internet gambling from expanding across the US.  The activity is now legal in three states.

He regularly refers to online gambling as a “toxic” and “cancer to society”.

His most recent advertisement attempts to tie the activity to terrorism and threats to national security.

Adelson has enemies beyond the online gambling landscape though.

According to The Morning Call in Bethlehem, Pa., the websites featured a scrolling list of personal information that included employee Social Security numbers, emails and job titles just prior to the sites being taken down.
The Sands in Eastern Pennsylvania website also included a message:  “Damn A, don’t let your tongue cut your throat. Encouraging the use of weapons of mass destruction, under any conditions, is a crime.”
Last fall, during a talk at Yeshiva University in New York, Adelson suggested that the U.S. drop a nuclear weapon on Iran.
