The LSOP Millions, a $1 million guaranteed tournament happening in Panama this March, has revolutionized the international poker tournament concept by hosting Day 1 tables across multiple land-based casinos all over latin america. The LSOP Millions is set to get underway at Majestic Casino in Panama from March 7th through 15th, but dozens of players have already made the money.

Instead of forcing players to fly to Panama, spend money on a hotel, and arrange a budget for food—all while risking the chance that they might bust out before Day 2—the LSOP Millions featured multiple Day 1 events in various cities around the world, several weeks before the action in Panama is scheduled to begin. Many of the Day 1 events have already wrapped up in Panama, Costa Rica, Aruba, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and the Dominican Republic.

A total of 48 players made it through Day 1 in their city to earn a spot at the Day 2 tables in Panama. Advancing players will move to Panama with the chip stack they ended with on Day 1. Players who missed Day 1 events can still win their seat at the Day 1 table in Panama.

Popular poker sites Americas Cardroom, Ya Poker, and Black Chip Poker are holding satellites for the LSOP Millions twice a week. On Wednesdays at 6:45pm ET, the sponsor sites host a $10+1 event that guarantees at least one LSOP Millions package. Another package is guaranteed in a $20+2 every Friday at 8:45pm ET.

Each package includes: the LSOP Millions Main Event buy-in (to be played in Panama), valued at $750+100; 6-night hotel accommodation (double occupancy) at Hard Rock Megapolis Panama, a 5-star hotel; breakfast; $20 daily credit to spend in the hotel bar; access to a 24/7 VIP support line during the Event; a gift bag; and $750 Cash for travel expenses.

The Latin Series of Poker was created to celebrate poker in Latin America. But due to its popular choices for host cities, the LSOP garners international attention. The Punta Cana Poker Classic, for example, is one of the most popular Caribbean poker tournaments, attracting players from dozens of countries around the world. Other popular international tournaments on the LSOP circuit include LSOP Peru and LSOP Chile.
