The World Poker Tour has announced that it plans to introduce shot clocks to its tournaments similar to that which appear during NBA games.

The WPT began polling players at last week’s LA Poker Classic in order to determine if the shot clocks were a viable option.  80% of those asked liked the idea of a shot clock.

The clock would be set for 30 seconds, providing players that amount of time to act on a given hand.
