There is another game in town for sports bettors besides Sunday's highly anticipated Super Bowl showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals.  Betting on UFC 94 was getting lots of play as well heading into Saturday evening.

BetUS.com had odds on all the UFC 94 fights including the big B.J. Penn vs. George St-Pierre bout where Penn was actually the +135 underdog, paying $135 for every $100 bet.

Betting on UFC 94 is receiving some decent action at online sportsbooks the likes of BetUS.com due to the nominal disparity within the top three matchups.  In addition to Penn vs. St. Pierre we also had Lyoto Machida as the -240 favorite vs. Thiago Silva, who would pay out nearly $200 for every $100 bet at BetUS.com as more of a lopsided underdog.

Jon Jones vs. Stephan Bonnar included a line of -175 for Bonnar while Jones would pay $145 for every $100 bet if he were to win.

But it is Georges St. Pierre and B.J. Penn that everyone is talking about heading into Saturday night.

"Saturday evening's main event rematch between Georges "Rush" St. Pierre and B.J. "The Prodigy" Penn for the UFC welterweight championship, from an all-around MMA standpoint, is one of the sport's legendary bouts in history," remarked Robbie Maddux of BetUS.com. "When St-Pierre and Penn get busy in the Octagon at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, it will be the first time in UFC history that two champions in their respective weight classes face off. If you bet UFC online regularly, you most likely know these are two of the best fighters in the world."

With both men holding titles, the stage is set for a rematch with history possibly in the making. There's much more at stake in this fight than the first. UFC lightweight champion Penn looks to be the first fighter in history to hold two UFC belts at the same time when he attempts to strip St-Pierre of his welterweight championship.

Last year the UFC presented a major event leading into Super Bowl Sunday as well.
