Heading into a game against the lowly Milwaukee Bucks, the Indiana Pacers were 0-9 Against The Spread.  Yet the public was still betting on the Pacers.

Indiana was getting slightly more lopsided action in this game.  Their recent poor run has been profitable for the books.

Dave Mason from Betonline Sports book told Todd Furhman of ToddsTake.com his house has seen this poor run of play as damn near a blessing for bookmakers.

“Surprisingly the public isn’t blindly fading the Pacers ATS due to their recent covering woes. Perhaps (we’re) seeing a little more action on their opponents than before, but nothing crazy. Considering the Pacers are still viewed as one of the top teams in the East, their horrible ATS record has been good for the house.”

Surprisingly, Indiana still has the second best record in the Eastern Conference after the Miami Heat despite having lost seven of their last ten games Straight Up.  They were in little danger of losing that position over the next week as Toronto was still eight games down.

The Pacers were sitting out most of their starters Wednesday night against the Bucks leading to the point spread dropping from -5.5 to -2.
