Tropicana and its iGaming partner Gamesys (VirginCasino.com) witnessed a revenue increase of $1.9 million during the month of March, comfortably placing the group 3rd behind market leader PartyPoker and Ceasars.

Steve Ruddick of the Newark Star Ledger remarked that the Tropicana’s performance is especially impressive being that they do not yet operate an online poker room (there is one coming very soon).

Tropicana's total revenue was up over 25% this past month, the largest gain by any company.  This includes , which is a proud advertising partner of Gambling911.com.

Caesars saw revenue of $2.25 million while the Borgata was coming in with $2.75 million.

Ruddick writes:

If the Tropicana launches an online poker room, and can gain a foothold in the online poker market in New Jersey, they could suddenly become a serious force in New Jersey. Considering their current rise from $841k in January to nearly $2 million in March, I'm sure the Borgata and Caesars have already started to take notice.

Ruddick also made some bold predictions as to why the online gambling sector in New Jersey should begin to flourish over the coming months.

Reason #1: The World Poker Tour is currently hosting their WPT Spring Poker Open tournament series, which includes the season-ending WPT Championship, and the World Series of Poker Circuit Series will be hosting their National Championship next month.

Reason #2: Borgata/Party is also running an online tournament series, the New Jersey Championships of Online Poker (NJCOP)

Reason #3: Spring and summer visitors should start pouring into New Jersey as tourist season begins.
