Bwin.party chief executive Norbert Teufelberger and the former co-CEO of bwin Manfred Bodner were acquitted in a French court on charges of violating Internet gambling laws in that country.

Both men were accused of breaking laws related to French gambling monopolies between the years 2003 and 2005.  Charges including illegally offering online gambling products and accepting bets over the Internet.

Prosecutors were pursuing fines of €40,000 against each defendant after the original complainants, FDJ and PMU, withdrew their complaints.
