Current WSOP Player of the Year Leader George Danzer Leads at Event 38
The current World Series of Poker Player of the Year leader continues to prove why he should earn that title. George Danzer came into Day 3 of Event #38: $10,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Low Championship as the chip leader with 13 players remaining.
The Brazilian-born, German-raised player started playing poker in live tournaments in 2006. He also has enjoyed success online as a prolific member of Team PokerStars.
His total live tournament career winnings have amounted to $1,598,408.
So far at this year’s World Series of Poker, Danzer has made three final tables including a 1st place finish at Event #18, the WSOP Razz where he walked away with a cool $294,792.
At last year’s WSOP, Danzer finished 5th at Event #55 - the World Series of Poker No Limit Hold'em Poker Players Championship, winning $388,523. He had three cashes in last year's tournament.
