MSU betting odds for 2014, including their odds to win the National Championship were available at BetDSI.com with the big game win paying 29-1.

2014 Michigan State Spartans Offense: The offense should be really good with the return of quarterback Connor Cook. He was the MVP of the Big Ten Championship Game and the Rose Bowl. He is joined in the backfield by running back Jeremy Langford who had 1,422-yard and 18 TDs last season. The offensive line returns a lot of experience and the team has a lot of talented receivers including senior Tony Lippett. The team also returns Aaron Burbridge, DeAnthony Arnett, Macgarrett Kings Jr., R.J. Shelton and Keith Mumphery.

2014 Michigan State Spartans Defense: The defense lost six starters from last year but defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi said that the team will be able to replace the lost talent. The team returns Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year Shilique Calhoun and Marcus Rush. They also bring in some big name recruits like Malik McDowell and Craig Evans. The secondary is loaded with talented players starting with Kurtis Drummond at free safety. He is joined by junior cornerback Trae Waynes, sophomore corner Darian Hicks and strong safety RJ Williamson.

2014 Michigan State Spartans Outlook: The Michigan State Spartans have the potential to be just as good as they were a year ago. The schedule is tougher but the team could end up in the Big Ten Championship game again. It is not out of the question that the Michigan State Spartans could play in the first college football playoff.
