Pirates -130 vs. Phillies - The Pirates RH Edinson Volquez (11-7, 3.31 ERA) has not lost in eight starts while posting a 1.38 ERA over his last six outings. He also limited the Phillies to a single run over seven innings back in early July.
Phillies RH David Buchanan (6-7, 3.95) has also pitched well of late. He has gone 12 straight starts without allowing more than three earned runs. On July 5, he allowed three runs against Pittsburgh.
The problem is that Andrew McCutchen homered against Buchanan back on that day while Jordan Mercer went 2-2 with a pair of doubles and a walk against Buchannan.
Pittsburgh has scored five or more runs in their last four starts and it is difficult to see that trend ending in this scenario.

UNDER 7.5 Royals vs. Tigers - The Tigers RH Max Scherzer (15-5, 3.25) is 9-1 at home with that lone loss coming at the hands of Kansas City. It is the only time he has lost to the Royals in ten starts against them.
The Royals LH Jason Vargas (11-7, 3.14 ERA) allowed just three runs over 14 innings in two outings at Detroit this season.
Since June, this series has gone UNDER the current number five of seven times.
The UNDER is 7-2 in Kansas City’s last nine overall and 5-1 in Vargas' last 6 starts overall.
The UNDER is 9-1 in Scherzer's last 10 starts as a favorite of -151 to -200.
