Morgan Stanley analysts believe that a total of 20 US states – or nearly half of the US – will have legalized online poker by the year 2020.

From CardPllayer.com:

According to the group, California will be the only state to authorize web gambling in 2015. In 2016, Illinois, New York and Pennsylvania will OK the activity. The following year, Massachusetts, Iowa and Colorado will legalize games on the web.

California, representing the world’s eight largest economy, has been attempting to legalize Web poker over the past several years.  Conflicts of interest in the past have prevented legalization.
