Lions-Jets Betting Line: Week 4 Fantasy Value for Calvin Johnson

60% of those betting this game were backing Detroit, which comes into this week claiming the league’s number two best defense. 

Coming into Sunday’s game, offensively, we have the best Fantasy wide receiver with Detroit’s Calvin Johnson, who should be able to take apart the Jets highly vulnerable secondary, which this season has permitted the 4^th most fantasy points to opposing wideouts.  Last year, the Jets allowed the 6^th most.  In other words, New York appears to be taking a step backwards this year.

That said, be careful of playing Johnson as he is questionable for Sunday’s game due to an ankle injury.  He has missed some practices this week as a result.

Fantasy owners need to be careful this week selecting an otherwise solid running back in Chris Ivory as Detroit boasts the sixth-stingiest defense to opposing fantasy backs.

As an aside note, we don’t quite know Detroit starting quarterback Matthew Stafford’s mindset following the collapse of a pedestrian bridge that stranded him enroute to practice Friday morning.  Stafford was forced to abandon his vehicle.
