Hockey Day Canada

If you are a hockey fan living up in Canada, you will love Saturday.  That's Hockey Day and betting on the sport will be extensive - at least those of us at Gambling911.com hope so.

As do the folks at Sportingbet.com

Sportingbet.com will have Live, IN:PLAY Betting for all three matchups, which involve all six Canadian clubs.

The Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens get things started in the first tilt of the triple-header (3 pm ET, CBC, NHL-US).

Montreal is 6-4 SU over the past 10 meetings and the over/under is 5-5. Montreal edged Ottawa 5-4 in the last meeting on Jan. 17, when the Senators were a +135 home underdog.

Next is a highly anticipated match-up as the Vancouver Canucks ride a three-game winning streak into the Air Canada Centre to face cross-country rival Toronto Maple Leafs (7 pm ET, CBC, NHL-US).

The game will feature newly-signed Canuck centre Mats Sundin's return to Toronto, where he spent 13 seasons with the Leafs.

Toronto is 6-4 SU over the past 10 meetings, six of which have gone over the total. The teams last met on Nov. 15 this season, when the Canucks won 4-2 as -165 home favorites. The last time the teams met in Toronto was Jan. 13, 2007, when the Canucks easily beat the Leafs 6-1.

The nightcap has the Calgary Flames facing the Edmonton Oilers in the latest installment of the Battle of Alberta (10 pm ET, CBC, NHL-US).

"It's all about rivalries and I will be glued to the television set and betting my favorite Flames Saturday," says Gambling911.com reporter, Ian Lamb.

The Oilers are 6-4 SU over the past 10 meetings. Only three of those games have gone over the total. The teams last squared off on New Year's Eve this season, a 6-4 Calgary win as -210 home favorites.
