The Vanderbilt vs. Mississippi State betting line opened at Bulldogs -29.5 and has moved to -31 at Bookmaker.eu. Nearly 75% of the public backing was on Vanderbilt.

These two schools have not met since 2009.  The Bulldogs enter this game with a 9-1 record and ranked 4th in the nation.  They lost their first game last week to Alabama.

ESPN.com noted that Vandy hasn't won an SEC game all season, so State should win comfortably at home so long as it isn't looking ahead to next week's showdown with rival Ole Miss.  In fact, Vanderbilt is aiming for its first victory over a top-10 team since beating No. 6 South Carolina, 17-6, on Oct. 20, 2007.

The Commodores are 6-0 Against The Spread in their last 6 road games and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS loss.

The Bulldogs are 5-1 Against The Spread in their last 6 games following a Straight Up loss, 8-2 ATS in their last 10 conference games, 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS win and they are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games overall.
