The Kansas State vs. Baylor betting line had the Bears as a -7 home favorite at BetOnline.ag. 63% of the action was on KState.
BetOnline’s Blake Frazier offered up this advise as it applied to the Kansas State-Baylor game:
Baylor is playing for the Big 12 title and a spot in the College Football Playoff. The Kansas State Wildcats can only win the Big 12 if TCU loses earlier Saturday to Iowa State. That’s probably not going to happen. Baylor should be the more motivated team. Playing at home, the Bears should be able to win this game, maybe even comfortably.
And indeed the Bears have beaten Kansas State by more than the current number in their last two meetings over the past two years. Baylor won as the visitor last year but the home team had won six straight prior to that game dating back to 2003.
The Wildcats are 6-1 Against The Spread in their last 7 games following a Straight Up win, 21-6-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 13-5-1 ATS in their last 19 road games.
The Bears are 23-5 ATS in their last 28 home games, 11-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 19-9-1 ATS in their last 29 conference games.
Baylor hired a public relations firm earlier this week to help its chances of securing a spot in the College Football Playoff.
