Top NBA Fantasy Players Taking to the Court Today:

James Harden (Houston) ($11600) - Harden led the Rockets with 36 points (12-19 FG, 8-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT) to go along with seven rebounds and six assists in 33 minutes in the win over Charlotte on Wednesday.  He was held in check Friday night, however, shooting 5-13 from the field, including 1-6 from beyond the arc and added two rebounds, three assists and two steals.  Harden failed to get to the free throw line.

John Wall (Washington) ($10400) - Wall had a down scoring night, with just 11 points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3pt, 3-4 FT) eight assists, and four rebounds in 31 minutes of play in Tuesday's loss to Dallas.  On Friday night against the Thunder, he scored 14 points on 5 of 13 shooting, including 2 of 6 shooting from three-point range, and also had 12 assists.

Marc Gasol (Memphis) ($9700) - Gasol (illness) scored 18 points (7-13 FG, 4-10 FT) and added 10 rebounds, five assists, one steal, and two blocks in 35 minutes against the Lakers Friday.  Draftster had Gasol priced at $8100.  He’s had 40 fantasy points in 4 of his last 5.  Denver has allowed 11% more points to centers than league average so should be another terrific night for Gasol.

Damian Lillard (Portland) ($10200) - Damian Lillard dropped 29 points in Tuesday's overtime win over the Raptors, adding nine assists, two boards, one steal, two blocks and four 3-pointers in 46 minutes.

LaMarcus Aldridge (Portland) ($10500) - Aldridge had 23 points (10-19 FG, 3-5 FT), 13 rebounds, and two assists Tuesday night in 41 minutes in his return from an illness.

Pau Gasol (Chicago) ($9200) - Gasol blocked a career-high nine shots Thursday in a win over the Nuggets, falling just one block and one rebound away from a triple-double and scoring 17 points (7-17 FG, 3-4 FT).  This is a great price still.

Blake Griffin (LA Clippers) ($10300) - Griffin equaled his career high with 11 assists to go with 13 points (6-16 FG, 1-3 FT) and seven rebounds in the win over New York on Wednesday. He played 35 minutes.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
