PokerStrategy.com released its Poker’s Biggest Winners of 2014 with some obvious standouts for anyone who has followed the poker scene over the past twelve months.

Daniel Colman was by far the biggest winner of 2014.  He walked away with a cool $15 million at the World Series of Poker One Drop.

That would have been enough to still be declared the 2014 winner but he had other victories: The WPT Alpha8 title, the EPT Grand Final Super High Roller and the Seminole Hard Rock Open Main Event.

Daniel Negreanu was another of the big winners in 2014….and that is for being one of the biggest losers.

By loser we are talking he failed to win the One Drop and finished second.  But second place paid out $8 million.

The real biggest loser of 2014?

Well that honor goes to Denmark’s own Gus Hansen.

You’d think this was a broken record by now.  It’s not the first year he’s at least ranked among the bigger losers.

He is down $5.47 million this year and $20 million lifetime.

Another of 2014’s biggest losers – for reasons other than his poker play – Dan Bilzerian.

He finished the year sued by a woman who claimed he kicked her in the face on the dance floor of a swanky Miami Beach club, and just days later, Bilzerian was arrested for allegedly making explosive devices in the state of Nevada.

It’s that rare one time those of us here at Gambling911.com would not want to be Dan Bilzerian, the flashy Instagram Playboy.
