Daily Fantasy Sports Picks – NBA – January 8: Latest Lines

Gambling911.com has your Daily Fantasy Sports picks for the NBA January 8 along with today’s game day lines, all courtesy of our friends at MyBookie.  Check here frequently for any changes in the NBA and any other sport lines.

Dwight Howard (Houston) - $8500 - Howard provided 17 points (6-13 FG, 5-11 FT) with a season-high 19 rebounds in 37 minutes in the win over the Cavaliers on Wednesday.  It is crazy to think that he hasn't blocked more than one shot in a game in 10 straight though.   This is a back-to-back so his production numbers could fall

Kyle Lowry (Toronto) – $10200 - Expensive as he is at over $10,000, Lowry 25 points with seven boards, five assists and three steals in 41 minutes Tuesday night in a loss to Portland.  With those kind of minutes, you might have expected higher scoring numbers from Lowry.  The issue is he shot 10-of-26 from the floor and turned it over four times.  The price is a little steep in that regard.  He is also facing a red hot Kemba Walker, shooting three straight games at 30 or more points.

James Harden (Houston) – $10300 - Harden had 21 points (6-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), seven rebounds, and nine assists in 33 minutes in the win over Cleveland on Wednesday.  A little pricey coming off a back-to-back perhaps but he is facing the Knicks Thursday.

Kemba Walker (Charlotte) - $9900 – Having scored 30 or more points in his last three games, even with the price, Walker should not necessarily be dismissed going up against Toronto.  The matchup vs. Lowry is not ideal, especially at this price.

Chris Kaman (Portland) - $4400 – Great price and he should get minutes.  Blazers coach Terry Stotts hopes to play Chris Kaman 12-13 minutes per half on Thursday.

More picks coming this afternoon.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
