Donnie Peters, Editor-In-Chief of PokerNews.com, says such a prize is virtually unheard of in what essentially is a side event.

“This is the 7th largest $25K dollar or euro event that has ever been held,” Peters revealed. “The only thing that is above it, the top 6, are all WPT Championships.”

The PCA Main Event, Peters points out, is more about the “common” player and is less likely to break any real records.
