The world’s largest Fantasy sports site, FanDuel.com, has seen its revenues reach $37 million for the 4th quarter ending 2014. That’s quite an increase from $7.4 million the same period last year.
FanDuel plans on opening additional offices in the United Kingdom, where it currently employs 60 people. The company anticipates doubling its UK staff over the next year while adding new hires at its base in New York City.
Chief executive Nigel Eccles told the Herald Newspaper in Scotland: "FanDuel is proving so popular that our main challenge now is meeting customer demand."
Active players increased to more than one million in the last three months of 2014, up from 190,000.
FanDuel and its main rival DraftKings have been entering into partnership arrangements with various professional sports teams. Last week, FanDuel finalized a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
