Only five players in golf history have completed the career Grand Slam. They are Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. McIlroy has made it his number one goal to win the Masters in 2015. "There's going to be a lot of hype when I drive down Magnolia Lane in April," McIlroy said. Augusta has not been that good to McIlroy in his career as his best finish is a tie for eighth place in six attempts but McIlroy is ready for the challenge. "I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it already," he said. McIlroy probably should have won the Masters in 2011 as he had a four shot lead heading into the final round before shooting a final round 80.
McIlroy has a regular routine heading into the Masters which he is not changing this season. "I know what to anticipate leading up to Augusta, and for me it’s about trying to treat it the same way I have done [before] and not put any more emphasis on it than there already is," he said, "So it’s just about making sure I’m as well prepared as I possibly can be going into that event, and I feel like I’ve got a good routine and mental strategy going into majors now where I try not to let too much affect me."
