Hawks vs. Celtics Betting Line: Fantasy Value for Al Horford, Paul Millsap

The Hawks vs. Celtics betting line was moving downward after peaking at Atlanta -7.5.  While a blowout is possible, Boston has played Atlanta well in past seasons, which helps to make some of the stronger Hawks players more desirable from a fantasy perspective.

Another reason to believe this won’t be a total blowout is Boston’s ability to cover the spread.  They’ve done so in 28 of their 50 games to date (or more than half) despite their lackluster 19-31 record.

Perhaps the best indicator of a competitive game on tap would be the Celtics 8-2 record Against The Spread over the course of their last 10 games.

Al Horford (Atlanta) - $7900 – With at least 37 fantasy points scored in eight of his last ten games, Horford will match up against a Boston team with an especially weak front court.

Paul Millsap (Atlanta) - $7800 – There may be even better value here than with Horford but both are players to consider for your daily roster today.  Millsap is pretty much averaging over 40 fantasy points.   

Marcus Smart (Boston) - $4800 – He’s been hitting better than 20 fantasy points in his last few games and will face an Atlanta team that does have some degree of trouble with the point guard position.  He’s also averaging around 37 minutes a game.  Not the best scorer in the world but he gets the job done in other ways.  The price tag is just a tad too high so Smart is someone to consider as a last resort in the opinion of Gambling911.com.

The Hawks have been outrebounded in four of five while averaging a minus-12.0 margin on the boards in that span. Their minus-2.6 margin on the season ranks 26^th while Boston has averaged a plus-5.0 rebounding margin over its last four games and ranks seventh with 14.4 second-chance points per game.

This is critical information for the sports bettor and fantasy enthusiast alike.
