Gambling911.com is thrilled to provide its readers with the latest NBC Heads Up Poker Championship event updates as of Friday evening heading into the 10 pm EST hour.   49 of 64 players remained at this time.

Phil Laak, the long time boyfriend of Bride of Chucky star, Jennifer Tilly, was among the 16 chip leaders.   The hilarious Brad Garrett, who once forced Pamela Anderson to walk out of a toast for poker icon Doyle Brunson, placed second.

The uber popular Dane, Gus Hansen, placed third.  Hansen made headlines this past month by boxing (and losing) fellow Denmark resident and poker pro, Theo Jorgensen.

Other poker players tied in first place early on were David Oppenheim, Kenny Tran, celebrity Jennifer Harman, Huck Seed, Glen Chorny, the adorable David Williams, Scott Fischman, 2007 WSOP winner Jerry Yang, Eli Elezra, Erich Lindgren, John Phan, 2008 WSOP winner and another poker player representing Denmark Peter Eastgate and Sam Farha.

Unfortunately our friend and Celebrity Apprentice star, Annie Duke, got the boot early on.    (Be sure to take part in Annie Duke's Celebrity Apprentice Poker Challenge here for a chance to win the $8500 prize package for this year's Aruba Poker Classic.).

Greg Raymer, who our own Jenny Woo sat down with heading into the NBC Heads Up Poker Championship, was also out early we're afraid to say.

Woo's co-conspirator in a poker television pilot, Johnny Chan, was also eliminated early on.

Clonie Gowen, who is suing nearly half the people participating in this year's NBC Heads Up Poker Championship, also busted early (we are sure there weren't a whole lot of tears there).

Jamie Gold and Greg Raymer were also gone.
