Dayton is the winner of the First Four having beaten Boise State. They will face off against number 6 seed Providence just prior to 10 pm EST Friday night.
This marks back-to-back years that Dayton has reached the NCAA Tournament. Last year’s No. 11-seeded team had a Cinderella run with three upset wins before falling to top-seeded Florida, 62-52.
This also marks consecutive seasons in the NCAA Tournament for Providence, who lost 79-77 in the second round last year to North Carolina.
The Friars are a -3 favorite in this game. Some books have them at -2.5.
