Daily Fantasy MLB Picks, Betting Lines – April 7: Zach Grenke, Stanton, More..

Gambling911.com has your daily fantasy MLB picks and betting lines for April 7.  Please note that, due to inclement weather, the Cardinals-Cubs game this evening has been postponed.

Zach Grenke (LA Lakers – Pitcher) - $8.8K – With a line of -158, oddsmakers have the Dodgers winning this game rather handily and much of that thought process has to do with Zach Grenke.  He is, after all, 4-0 when starting against San Diego with an ERA of 1.84 and a WHIP of 0.750.   Grenke is worth the price and is a “must have” among your pitchers this evening.  The Dodgers have won four of the last six games in this series (San Diego is actually 8-20 in the last 28 meetings).  LA is 7-1 in their last 8 home games.

Alex Wood (Atlanta – Pitcher) - $8.6K – Atlanta is 1-6 in Wood’s last 7 road starts with much of this a result of poor run support.  This is illustrated with Atlanta scoring one run or fewer in eight of Wood’s 24 starts. Wood is 1-3 when starting against Miami with an ERA of 4.21 and a WHIP of 1.129.  Wood struck out 12 Marlins in a 1-0 victory last Aug. 31 and fanned 11 in a 1-0 loss to Miami on April 22. Definitely not one to have in your lineup this evening. 

Gerardo Parra (Milwaukee – OF) - $3.5K - He's a bargain when one considers his record versus RH Jordan Lyles.  He is 7-for-13 with three doubles against Lyles.  The Rockies are 0-7 in Lyles' last 7 starts as a road underdog.

Mat Latos (Miami – Pitcher) - $8.6K – He held Atlanta to just one run on nine hits in six innings in his only start against Atlanta last season.  Grenke is probably a better option since both are priced about the same.

-138 is actually a decent price to bet the Marlins in this matchup.

Giancarlo Stanton (Miami – OF) - $4.9K – He’s priced right against a pitcher that has not fared well on the road or against Miami for that matter.  He’s especially good versus left hand pitchers.

Wei-Yin Chen (Baltimore - Pitcher) - $6.7K - Avoid Chen at all costs this evening even if his price may seem tantilizing on the surface.  The Orioles are 0-7 in Chen's last 7 starts on astroturf.  James Loney is 4-of-13 with a pair of doubles against Chen though Loney has been scratched for Tuesday night's game.

San Francisco’s first three hitters – Nori Aoki, Joe Panik and Angel Pagan – were a combined 8-for-14 in Monday’s season opener.  The 49ers have won 8 of the last 10 in this series while scoring 5 or more runs in six of those.  Pagan enjoyed great success against right-handed pitchers last year.  He is priced favorably at $4.3K. 

Left-handers had a collective .320 average last season against Rangers starting pitcher RH Colby Lewis, who gave up a career-worst 211 hits in 2014.  Oakland has four left-handers starting this evening.
