Gamblers will be at the edge of their seats Selection Sunday regardless of what teams get in.  Immediately following the team assignments and scheduling, online gambling sites the likes of BetUS.com will be quick to put up their respective lines on as many games as possible.  It likely will take until Monday morning to have all the lines up however.

The obvious number one seeds that should make it to the Final Four are Pittsburgh and North Carolina.

Chicago Tribune writer Shannon Ryan writes about Pittsburgh:

"The Panthers went 5-2 against ranked opponents, beating Connecticut twice when the Huskies were ranked No. 1. With the seventh-toughest schedule and the top RPI in the nation, Pitt is worthy of the No. 1 overall seed."

In regard to North Carolina, Ryan writes:

"By winning the ACC regular-season title and owning a No. 1 national ranking, the Tar Heels are in good shape. They were wise to rest injured point guard Ty Lawson in the conference tournament."

Ryan also believes Connecticut, Louisville and even Florida State after their impressive win over North Carolina, should go deep into the tournament.

With that win, Florida State's stock has improved dramatically.

Andrew Carter and Jeremy Fowler of the Orlando Sentinel:

"In years past, Florida State players and coaches gathered together to watch the NCAA Tournament selection show with hope, and not assurance, that they'd be among the 65-team field.

"The prospect of heading to the NCAA Tournament, meanwhile, looks microscopic for the Florida Gators without a ton of breaks in various conference tournaments and a lot of prayer.

After the 22nd-ranked Seminoles play No. 9 Duke in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament championship game, FSU will come together and watch the words ‘Florida State' appear in an NCAA Tournament bracket for the first time since 1998."

Most people had the Seminoles slotted for a number 5 or 6 seed, now they could become a number 4 seed.

While schools such as Maryland and Virginia Tech will be sweating it out until the selection show, Duke all but assured itself of a No. 2 seed with Saturday's victory against Maryland on Saturday - and it could even join the discussion for a No. 1, according to Jason King of Yahoo Sports.
