While fantasy sports has existed for decades, daily fantasy sports only emerged over the past five years and began making serious waves over the past 12 months. Unlike traditional fantasy sports, daily fantasy sports allows an individual to play in a daily or weekly format.
“There are great synergies between sports betting, poker, gaming and daily fantasy sports that do not exist with the regular season fantasy formats,” O’Brien points out. “As such, Gambling911.com began covering the sector extensively starting last fall.
