The Cardinals vs. Mets series betting line for Tuesday had St. Louis at -114, New York at +106 and the total at 7.5.

We will want to hone in on the total here as the UNDER is 11-1-1 in the series over the last 13.  In fact, only one of the last ten games in this series has gone OVER the current number.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Cardinals RH Michael Wacha (5-0, 2.06 ERA) vs. Mets LH Jon Niese (3-3, 2.49)

Wacha has gone 2-1 with a 2.81 ERA while striking out 21 over 16 frames in three turns against the Mets.

He has allowed either 5 or 6 hits in each of his last 7 starts and only once did he permit more than 3 runs (allowing 4) over that time.

Niese owns a 4-2 record and 2.27 ERA in seven career starts versus St. Louis.

Niese gave up six runs (four earned) on six hits and a walk over 6.1 innings Thursday in a loss to the Cubs so we here at Gambling911.com anticipate him to have his A Game here.

The UNDER is 7-1-1 in the Mets last 9 home games.  St. Louis has scored more than 3 runs in only one of their last six games overall.

For daily fantasy players, Matt Carpenter has gone 4-for-7 against Niese with two double bases.

Jason Hayward is 9-for-28 against Niese with two homeruns.

Jhonny Peralta is 3-for-8 against Niese with a double.

Yadier Molina is expected to be in the lineup this evening and is 6-for-16 against Niese.

History tells us this one should go UNDER but Neise has had trouble with the Cards current roster while Wacha will enter this game 5-0
