Padres vs. Braves Series Betting Picks, DFS Plays: June 8 Thru 10
Gambling911.com has your Padres vs. Braves series betting picks and DFS plays for Monday through Wednesday.
The Series:
These two teams are meeting for the first time this season. Last year there was no edge when it came to the total while the two clubs essentially split wins and losses.
Recent Games:
The Padres are playing some decent ball of late, winning six of their last ten games. Four of the last five games totaled eight or higher with San Diego scoring the vast majority of those runs. Eight of eleven recent games went OVER 7.5. There is no real edge when it comes to the total playing on the road.
Atlanta has only won five of eleven games. Seven of the last eight games have gone OVER 7.5. There is certainly an edge with the OVER when it comes to recent performance from both sides.
Monday Betting:
Padres right hander Ian Kennedy (3-5, 6.60) vs. Braves right-hander Shelby Miller (5-2, 1.89)
Kennedy has been inconsistent this season. He is coming off a solid performance in which he gave up just two runs on six hits in six innings but that one followed a disastrous performance against Pittsburgh in which he gave up three homeruns. Seven of the last eight games he has started have totaled nine or more.
Miller has lost his last two starts so we anticipate a strong outing here against a team he held last season to 2 and 4 runs, respectively.
We will be taking Atlanta at -135 today.
Monday Daily Fantasy:
Shelby Miller – He is a decent starter today to consider for your Daily Fantasy Sports roster. Miller is priced around $9100.
Something tells us Atlanta is going to light it up today.
Freddie Freeman has been sensational against Kennedy, going 6-for-10 at bats with two doubles and eight RBIs. He hit in all nine of his games prior to Sunday’s game in which he failed to do so.
Cameron Maybin – He has been on absolute fire of late, hitting in eight of his last ten but, even more impressive, hitting three times in three of his last four outings. He’s priced at just $3100 and is an absolute “must have” for your roster.
Christian Bethancourt – The Braves catcher went 3-for-4 Saturday but has only hit in half of his last ten games. He’s a very last option having never faced Kennedy.
Tuesday Betting:
Padres right hander James Shields (7-0, .358) vs. Braves right hander Mike Foltynewicz (3-2, .429)
Shields has only allowed more than six hits in one of his ten starts. All but one game he has started in has totaled seven or higher.
Foltynewicz had been showing improvement lately, with three consecutive one-walk outings and two quality starts in a row, but he still hasn't found a high level of consistency, having failed to finish six innings in four of his seven outings. However, his strikeout rate certainly plays
Tuesday Daily Fantasy:
Freddie Freeman - He hit in all nine of his games prior to Sunday’s game in which he failed to do so. He has enjoyed success against Shields.
Cameron Maybin – He has been on absolute fire of late, hitting in eight of his last ten but, even more impressive, hitting three times in three of his last four outings. He’s priced at just $3100 and is an absolute “must have” for your roster. He has seen success against Shields.
Wednesday:
Padres right-hander Tyson Ross (3-5, 3.75) vs. Braves right-hander Williams Perez (1-0, 3.55)
Ross has managed to allow three or fewer runs in 11 of 12 starts
