Sportsbook.ag has revealed it will begin offering betting on eSports following increasing demand to do so.

They will become the first US-facing online sports betting site to do so.

The eSports fan base is expected to surpass that of the NFL by later next year.

Sportsbook.ag’s decision to begin offering eSports – also known as competitive video gaming – comes at a time when Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban just invested $7 million into an eSports-only betting company, UNIKRN.  That site has suggested it could enter the U.S. market as early as next month.

Sportsbook.ag will begin offering betting on Leagues of Legends then likely follow with DOTA wagering.
