Okay so Sportsbook.ag got slaughtered by Sunday’s Women’s World Cup Final, but the numbers still left a lasting impression.

“Despite #USWNT costing us a fortune on the game result and the tournament future, we’re delighted with the overall volume of action on the Women’s World Cup,” Matt James of Sportsbook confessed.  “We more than doubled the number of bets in comparison to the 2011 final between USA and Japan.

“Along with the overnight TV numbers, this is further evidence of the growth of soccer in North America.”

Sportsbook.ag, the largest North American online sports betting site in terms of overall number of customers, has already released odds on the 2019 Women’s World Cup with Team USA once again favored to win.
