There are many moving parts in a successful pay per head business such as software, hardware, infrastructure, backup systems, wagering clerks, payment options… but the MVP at the end of the day is lines.

Why is having the sharpest lines the most important aspect in your operation? What makes a per head service sharper than the other?

Most pay per head companies are receiving the same line feeds at the same time such as Don Best, Pinnacle, BETCRIS, Las Vegas etc.  Then how is one line sharper than the other if they are all getting the same information?.  Well, the answer is simple, or may be not... Enter the wise guys or “the professionals”, the Wise guys come in on a certain play and suddenly all the feeds start to move because of their plays.

Where the wise guys play first is extremely important.  Now, traditionally wise guys will hit all the pay per head or credit shops first.  So those who are waiting for BETCRIS to move their line could be a few minutes behind because the Wise Guys have not played there yet.

Since PPH shops receive the wise guy action first, all of their agents reap the benefits of this.  You may be asking why or how do the other agents reap the benefits?  It’s because if the shop is able to move the line on a particular play in a timely manner, the betting public could not jump on the weak line before the information gets to the rest of the books.

Having the sharpest lines largely increases the bookies chances of winning more money not only in one particular game but through an entire season and on every sport.
