Having not slept for the past 48 hours, CAC2009 Amsterdam organizer, Marc Lesnick, was off to Europe this morning.  He is pleasantly surprised by the expected turnout considering the economic downturn and recent bad press surrounding the online gambling affiliate sector.

"We had close to 600 people committed to the event," Lesnick told Gambling911.com early Thursday.  "We should have around 750 when all is said and done."

Lesnick said that there are typically over 100 people who register the day of the event, which officially kicks off on Sunday, though a pre-party is planned the night before.

Casino Affiliate Convention is the largest industry event and affiliate conference that covers marketing and advertising for an online casino and sportsbook business. It focuses on Internet affiliate marketing and traditional marketing. European Poker and Bingo are also covered at the conference. The next affiliate trade show and convention is at the NH Grand Krasnapolsky Hotel in Amsterdam and is scheduled for March 30-31, 2009. CACAmsterdam will focus on marketing to the Euro Internet gaming market.

One of the biggest events planned thus far is the PKR Poker Sunday Night Super Club.

"The list of people attending the dinner keeps growing so I think we will need to add more seating," said Shawn O'Neill of PayNoRake.com.

The Gambling911.com crew begins arriving in Amsterdam on Friday.  Jenny Woo and her friend, Rebecca Liggero, from Casino City are bound to cause all sorts of mayhem.

"HOOKAH! I'm calling you tonight so we can make some plans for the Dam. Cannot wait to see your beautiful face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the effervescent Liggero commented to Woo on her Facebook Page.

"(I am) getting ready for CAC Amsterdam and am (really) hoping that the bolt cutters won't have to be involved this year," Woo said on her page.

Woo will also be Twittering from Amsterdam all week long.  Twitter is a great way to keep up with Jenny's inactivity (errrr activities) throughout the day and get a behind-the-scenes look at what's going on at Gambling911.com each day.
